Porridge with peach compote

60 g oatmeal
250 ml milk (or vegetable milk such as oat or soy milk)
50 ml water
1 peach
15 g honey
1 pinch cinnamon
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tablespoon nuts

TIP: Instead of peaches, you can also try apricots, pears or apples.


  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a small saucepan with the oatmeal and a pinch of salt, stirring. Remove pot from heat and cover. The contents in the pot must rest for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, halve, pit and dice the peach. Then put in a hot pot and deglaze with water, honey, cinnamon and lemon juice. Serve the peach compote with the porridge and garnish with nuts if desired.
